Feature Description

Activating Phishing Protection

The feature can be activated via the general settings:

  • Navigate to Settings > General.

  • Just before the "Branches" section, enable the option Enable Phishing Protection.

  • An additional field will appear: Phishing Protection Pattern (regex) *, which defines disallowed formats in the booking question fields. More details under How the Standard Regex Works.

How the Standard Regex Works

After activating phishing protection, a standard regex is applied to all input fields of the booking questions. This regex blocks entries that contain the following patterns:

  • URLs with

    • http://

    • https:// or

    • www.

  • Any top-level domains like

    • .com

    • .de

    • .net, etc.

This rule reliably prevents the entry of suspicious or harmful links.

Custom Regex Rules

If needed, you can replace the standard regex with your own pattern.

To do so, enter your own rule under Phishing Protection Pattern (Regex) *.

Please note that customizing regex requires technical understanding. Changes should be made carefully.

Adjusting the Warning Message for Invalid Entries

If an entry is blocked by the regex, users will receive an error message. This message can be customized:

  • Go to Master Data > Templates.

  • Look for the entry:
"Displayed when input contains suspicious phishing or malicious link content."

  • Adjust the text according to your communication policies by clicking Edit.

Summary

With the new phishing protection feature, Calenso provides a simple way to block unwanted URL entries in booking questions. By activating the regex filter and customizing warning messages, you significantly increase the security of your booking processes.
