Encryption of customer and appointment data

Created by Calenso Support, Modified on Fri, 12 Apr at 1:39 PM by Calenso Support

Customer and appointment data has been encrypted since version 4.0.0. This applies to all Calenso licences. For the Enterprise licence, the data is additionally encrypted with AES-256. This makes sense as soon as a customer processes particularly sensitive information that should not be visible as normally readable text in a database or in a backup. So that this data can still be searched for in the dashboard, this data is saved hashed (in minimised data records). The two hashes are then compared with each other during a search. For this reason, the search in the customer list can only return full hits.

The following information is encrypted:

Customer:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • e-mail address
  • Telephone number
  • Mobile phone number
  • Your name
  • POSTCODE
  • Postcode
  • Town
  • Remarks
Date:
  • Date Title
  • Date Description

Booking enquiry:

  • Entered customer data
