The booking interval controls the intervals at which your appointments are offered. In this article, we explain how this can be set and how different scenarios can be mapped.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

What does the booking interval do?

The booking interval is the interval between two offered appointments. If it is set to 60 minutes, for example, all appointments are offered on the hour.

When does the booking interval start?

This depends on which function is used. The booking interval behaves differently for our individual appointment functions than for conference appointments. This is how the booking intervals differ:

For individual appointments

The booking interval starts at the beginning of each availability created. If, for example, availabilities start at 8:00 a.m. and the interval is set to 60 minutes, appointments are offered at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and so on. If the availabilities start later in the day at 13:30, the other appointments are offered at 13:30, 14:30, etc. accordingly.

For conferences

To ensure that our new conference function leads to as many available appointments as possible, the booking interval works differently here. As several employees have to find an appointment together, the available appointments should match as closely as possible. This is why the booking interval starts at midnight for all employees involved and divides the appointment proposals throughout the day.

Where can the booking interval be set?

The booking interval can be found under Settings/Booking Widget-Settings:

The booking interval is in the first position under the booking widget settings:
