Introduction
With two-factor authentication, the user account of the employee who logs into the Calenso Dashboard can be further secured. With the help of an authenticator app (Calenso recommends Authy, Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator), the login process can be secured with a second factor.
Requirements

- The function is available to all subscription
- Authenticator app installed on the smartphone
- A place where the backup codes can be stored (e.g. password manager such as 1Password)
Activate two-factor authentication
Navigate to your profile (Settings → Resource / Employees → Click on your user). On the far right you will see a tab called "Security", click on it.
Then click on "Activate two-factor authentication". A pop-up with a QR code will open.
Open the Authenticator app and scan the QR code. When you have received a 6-digit code from the app, click on "Next".
Insert the code and click on "Verify".
If everything went well, you should now see 8 backup codes. Save these backup codes in a safe place (e.g. in a password manager such as 1Password). You can now always access the Calenso dashboard with these codes, even if you have forgotten or sold your smartphone.
Now close the backup code pop-up. The setup was successful.
Login process
Now start the login process by first logging out of the dashboard. Enter your e-mail address and password and click on "Continue". You will then be asked for the authentication code from the Authenticator app:
Enter the code and click on "Verify". If everything worked, you are now logged in.
Reset two-factor authentication
Navigate to your profile (Settings → Resource / Employees → Click on your user). On the far right you will see a tab called "Security", please click on it. Deactivate the toggle for the two-factor authentication.
A popup will open. Please enter the current code from the Authenticator app:
Click on "Reset" and the two-factor authentication will be removed from your account.
Login is no longer possible (reset via support)
If you can no longer log in (e.g. because you have lost your backup code or your smartphone has been stolen), please contact Calenso support at support@calenso.com. Please send an ID document so that we can identify you as the person who wants to deactivate 2FA.
